Terms of sale
Version 2026-09-02 — Sonsei.
Sonsei is not on sale yet — there is no checkout to take your money today. These terms are published in advance so you can read them before the storefront opens, and they take effect for orders placed from that day.
These terms cover buying Sonsei directly from Future Dynamic. How you may then use it is the licence agreement; what happens if you want your money back is refunds & right of withdrawal.
1. Who you are buying from
Sonsei is made and sold by Jonorah, a trading name of Future Dynamic, a business registered in The Netherlands.
Everything binding — this agreement, your invoice, the VAT line — is with Future Dynamic. Jonorah is the name that business trades under.
Email: support@sonseiaudio.com (support), legal@sonseiaudio.com (contract and legal). The full registration details — address, Chamber of Commerce number and VAT identification number — are published here the day the storefront opens, before any order can be placed.
Buying elsewhere. If you buy Sonsei through a shop that resells it, your contract of sale is with that shop and their terms and refund policy apply to the purchase. The licence agreement still governs how you use the plug-in, and our support is the same either way.
2. What is on sale
A perpetual licence for Sonsei as a downloadable plug-in for macOS 11.0 or later (VST3, Audio Units (AU), Standalone), delivered as a signed licence file by email. There is nothing physical to ship and no account to create. Before buying you can run the full product free for 30 days — see the trial terms.
3. Price and tax
- The licence is $99, with a time-boxed founding-window price of $49 at launch. The price that applies is the one shown at checkout when you order.
- Prices are in US dollars and are shown including any VAT/BTW due on your order. Your card issuer converts to your own currency at their rate; that conversion is between you and them.
- Future Dynamic is a Dutch business and accounts for Dutch VAT on consumer sales. Your receipt from Stripe shows what you paid and any tax included in it; ask legal@sonseiaudio.com if you need a VAT invoice with your own details on it.
- There are no recurring charges, ever. One payment, one licence.
4. Placing an order
Checkout is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. You enter your card details on Stripe’s page, not ours — Future Dynamic never sees or stores your card number. A contract comes into being when your payment succeeds; we confirm it by email.
At checkout you are asked to agree to these terms, and doing so includes this sentence: “I ask Future Dynamic to deliver my Sonsei licence immediately, and I acknowledge that I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once it has been delivered.” That agreement is repeated in your order confirmation so you have it in writing. What it means, and what you keep even after ticking it, is set out in refunds & right of withdrawal.
You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the email address you give us has to be one you can actually receive mail at — it is where your licence goes.
5. Delivery
Your licence file is emailed to the address you bought with, normally within a few hours and at the latest within two business days. The download of the plug-in itself is public and available immediately — you do not have to wait for the licence to install it, and an unlicensed install runs on its 30-day trial in the meantime, so nothing about your evening is blocked while you wait.
Nothing arrived? Check your spam folder first, then mail support@sonseiaudio.com from the address you ordered with. If we cannot deliver your licence at all, you get your money back in full — that case is a failure to deliver, not a refund request, and is not affected by anything you agreed to at checkout.
6. Support
Support is by email at support@sonseiaudio.com, from a small team — we aim to answer within two business days. It covers installation, licensing, and the plug-in misbehaving on a supported system: macOS 11.0 or later in a host that supports one of the formats above.
It does not cover your DAW, your interface, your other plug-ins, or mixing tuition — though in practice, if you write in with a mixing question, you will get an answer. Support for a version does not stop on a date; it stops being reasonable when the operating system or host it ran on is itself out of support.
7. If something goes wrong
Write to legal@sonseiaudio.com and describe the problem — we answer complaints ourselves, within 14 days, and we would much rather fix something than win an argument about it. If that does not resolve it, you keep every right you have as a consumer: to your statutory remedies, to your national consumer authority, and to the courts.
8. Law, language and changes
These terms are governed by the law of The Netherlands. If you bought as a consumer elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country of residence. The contract is concluded in English and we keep a record of your order; ask us for a copy any time.
We may change these terms for future orders. The version that governs your purchase is the one in force on the day you ordered — the version stamp at the top of this page, also recorded in your confirmation email. Changes never apply retroactively.
